The Continued 9/11 Dishonesty of Alternet

The Continued 9/11 Dishonesty of Alternet

Let's look at the title and subtitle of an article presented by Alternet.org from Robert Fisk:

Questioning 9/11 ... With Caution
Forget the conspiracy theories. Middle East correspondent Robert Fisk just wants a few questions answered.

However, let's look at the title of the original article that Alternet lifted this from:

Even I question the 'truth' about 9/11

Here is the URL for the original article if you do not believe me:

Why would Alternet change the title of an article, which changes the entire framing tone of the words that followed?

Over the past two years, Alternet has engaged in a crude and mean-spirited campaign to smear those involved in the 9/11 Truth movement. (Here's the title to three articles from the site to give you a clue of the discourse: "9/11 Conspiracy Fantasies", "Enough of the 9/11 Conspiracy Theories, Already" & the extremely clever "The Idiocy Behind the '9/11 Truth' Movement".) Now one of the most respected voices in journalism has asked the obvious questions that should have been asked long ago by a site that proclaims itself to be a voice of "alternative views." They proceed to censor his original title and insert commentary to ridicule "conspiracy theories" that aren't even mentioned in the article.

It is pretty clear to me that Alternet continues to attack and suppress opinions on 9/11 that have widespread sympathies in the alternative community. For them to do so show their claims to be representative of alternative viewpoints to be a fraud. I encourage all who read this to engage in a boycott of any Alternet business links until they behave in an honest and ethical manner. Don't hold your breath.
